Embedded Software Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineers in Chandler Arizona for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will develop integrate debug and test real-time embedded software supporting advanced aerospace and defense systems. Engineers will work across the full software development lifecycle in a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Required Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Computer Systems or a related technical discipline.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation completed within the last 5 years.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Object-oriented software development experience using C and/or C.
• Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
• Experience developing debugging and testing embedded real-time software.
• Experience with real-time or embedded operating-system environments such as VxWorks INTEGRITY LynxOS Yocto Linux or comparable platforms.
• Experience supporting the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with software requirements architecture detailed design coding unit testing integration and system testing.
• Strong software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PowerPC ARM and/or RISC-V processor architectures.
• Experience integrating and testing software using real-time computer-in-the-loop environments.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop test laboratories.
• Experience developing software interfaces supporting weapon-system integration.
• Aerospace defense missile or launch-system software-development experience.

What Youll Do

• Develop real-time embedded software supporting complex aerospace and defense systems.
• Support development and refinement of software requirements.
• Participate in software architecture and detailed-design activities.
• Develop and maintain embedded C/C software.
• Perform unit testing debugging and software verification.
• Integrate software with embedded computing hardware and other system components.
• Support software integration and system-level testing.
• Troubleshoot software hardware-interface and integration issues.
• Ensure software complies with applicable engineering and development standards.
• Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software systems hardware test and other engineering disciplines.
• Support integration activities involving real-time computing and weapon-system interfaces.

Work Schedule / Shift

• 9/80 work schedule.
• Full-time onsite in Chandler Arizona.

Pay

• $90.00 per hour.
