Job Summary
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology Test & Evaluation Engineering & Analysis and Training.
As an Electronic Field Engineer II you will:
- Be responsible for testing troubleshooting installation calibration repair and modification of equipment and systems.
- Solve technical problems in accordance with prescribed specifications.
- Conduct laboratory and shipboard work.
- Conduct submarine ship checks to determine the necessary efforts to seamlessly install systems onboard a platform.
- Draft Memorandums of Agreement Work Authorization Forms System Tag outs and Controlled work packages.
- Provide technical input and review for developing new Temporary Alterations (TempAlts) Operational Alterations (OpAlts) and Ship Alterations (ShipAlts).
- Author detailed reports.
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 6 years of experience working with sonar systems as a sonar technician in the Navy
