Job Summary
We are looking for anElectro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to build up mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for our modular nuclear reactor systems. You will work primarily with hand and power tools to fit fasten and integrate a wide variety of components. This is your opportunity to part of a team building first-of-a-kind nuclear reactor hardware from day one. Hands-on variety no two assemblies are alike. Room to grow into Lead Technician or specialized mechanical roles
Location: Torrance CA
Salary: Up to $60/h depending on level of experience
Shift: Mon-Fri from 8 am to 5 pm

Key Responsibilities for Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician:
Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components using hand and power tools (wrenches drivers torque tools etc.).
Read and follow engineering drawings work instructions and bills of materials to complete builds correctly.
Fit fasten align and torque components to specification; verify fit-up and functionality before sign-off.
Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues fitment problems or missing/incorrect parts and escalate as needed.
Maintain a clean organized and safe workspace; follow 5S and shop safety standards.
Support a wide range of build types across different product lines and subassemblies as priorities shift.
Document completed work inspection results and any non-conformances per quality procedures.
Basic Qualifications forElectro-Mechanical Assembly Technician :
4 years of experience in mechanical assembly maintenance or a similar hands-on technical role.
Strong proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools (torque wrenches drills drivers etc.).
Ability to read and follow engineering drawings work instructions and assembly procedures.
Comfortable working across a variety of assembly tasks and switching between them throughout the day.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to build quality.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment with evolving processes.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs stand for extended periods and work in a shop-floor setting with appropriate PPE.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with mechanical assembly in aerospace nuclear automotive or other highly regulated industries.
Basic electrical or electromechanical assembly experience (wiring connectors harnessing).
Familiarity with torque specifications fastener standards and basic hand-tool calibration.
Prior experience in a startup or low-volume/high-mix production environment.
Forklift overhead crane or rigging certification.
