Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location: Houston TX USA 77032


Description:

Working under limited supervision the Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician will assemble instrument components and sub-components electro-mechanical and hydraulic well-logging assemblies and sub-assemblies and/or electronic hybrid circuits.

The technician may be required to read and interpret detailed schematics engineering drawings wiring diagrams and other technical documentation. Responsibilities may include soldering fitting and mounting components alignment adjustment operational testing troubleshooting and repair of assemblies.


Skills are typically acquired through several years of related assembly experience. Some college-level education or coursework focused on electrical/electronics is preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical electronic electro-mechanical and hydraulic components and sub-assemblies.

  • Read interpret and work from blueprints engineering drawings schematics wiring diagrams and technical documentation.

  • Perform light/high- or low-temperature soldering as required.

  • Solder circuit boards and terminate wires correctly.

  • Perform fitting mounting alignment adjustment and operational testing of components.

  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and simple mechanical troubleshooting.

  • Identify and repair assembly issues when required.

  • Use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.

  • Perform assigned tasks successfully with minimal supervision.

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy dexterity and attention to detail.

  • Follow established procedures quality standards and safety requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Top 3 Required Skills

  • Basic Electrical & Mechanical Troubleshooting Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and simple mechanical structures.

  • Soldering Ability to perform light soldering correctly including wire termination and circuit-board soldering.

  • Technical Drawing Interpretation Ability to understand and interpret blueprints schematics wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  • Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Understanding of electrical assembly and electrical components.

  • Knowledge of soldering and wire termination techniques.

  • Experience soldering circuit boards is preferred.

  • Strong manual dexterity and excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and operational testing.

  • Ability to use basic hand tools and electrical test equipment.

  • Drill

  • Basic hand tools

  • Soldering station

  • Heat gun

  • Multimeter


Education & Experience

  • Several years of related assembly experience preferred.

  • Approximately 5 years of relevant assembly experience is desirable.

  • Some college education or coursework focused on Electrical/Electronics is preferred.

  • Relevant hands-on experience with electrical electronic electro-mechanical or hydraulic assemblies is highly desirable.

Work Environment

  • 100% onsite position.

  • Standard MondayFriday schedule with 8-hour shifts.

  • Some overtime may be required based on business needs.

  • Non-field onshore position.

  • No vaccination requirement.
