Job Summary
Pay:$58/hr (based on experience) and $125/day per diem for qualified travelers
Duration: On going 50-60hrs a week
Project: New Commercial Construction
Skillforce is currently seeking experienced Electricians for an on-going construction project in Cedar Rapids IA. This is a long-term opportunity for skilled electricians who can work independently and lead by example on a fast-paced job site.
Electrician Job Scope:
- Install maintain and repair commercial electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and electrical drawings
- Run conduit (EMT rigid) wire and terminate devices
- Install panels switchgear and lighting systems
- Ensure all work meets NEC codes and job site standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as needed
Electrician Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- Must have Class A Journeyman Electrical License
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards
- Must have reliable transportation and basic tools
- OSHA certification is a plus
