Job Summary

As a CBRE Electrician you will inspect repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems general operation repair and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check repair and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves motors controls switches gauges wiring fans pumps compressors condensers cores and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection testing and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Daily check-in assigned project management tasks and scheduled maintenance tasks.

Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma GED or trade school diploma required
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred
  • Trade school/apprenticeship preferred
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes
  • Valid Drivers License required
  • OSHA 10 certification highly preferred
  • Electricians license highly preferred
Required Experience
  • 5 years of relevant electrical experience
  • 34 years of job-related experience (per role requirements)
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Some independent work and some team-based work in a facilities or commercial/industrial environment
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • This is a new worksite; team is currently working in office trailers
  • Some independent work and some team work
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping standing walking climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
  • Overtime may be required
  • Background package: CBRE Safety Specific with drug screen required
Important Notes
  • Interview process: 1st round virtual; 2nd round in-person with a site tour
  • This position has potential to convert to a permanent (FTE) role; potential convert-to-perm salary range: $80000$90000/year
