Electrician Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA safety standards
• Maintain a clean safe and organized job site
• Read and interpret blueprints wiring diagrams and construction drawings
• Install electrical wiring circuits panels and control equipment
• Install terminate and test structured cabling systems including Cat5e Cat6 Cat6A and fiber optic cabling
• Install and support telecommunications equipment such as routers switches network devices and alarm systems
• Install control and distribution equipment including switches relays and circuit breaker panels
• Run pull terminate splice and test cabling for voice and data networks
• Ensure installations comply with NEC requirements and industry standards
• Perform troubleshooting maintenance and repairs on both electrical and low-voltage systems
• Label and document installations maintaining accurate system records and inventory
• Collaborate with project managers technicians and other trades on job sites
• Maintain professional communication with customers suppliers and team members

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma Technical School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work and/or low voltage systems
• Working knowledge of electrical systems structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure
• Ability to read blueprints and installation drawings
• Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely operate industry tools testing equipment and installation devices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Ability to bend kneel and work in construction environments
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including heat cold and humidity

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or completion of an electrical apprenticeship
• Experience with fiber optic termination and testing
• Experience installing commercial structured cabling systems
• BICSI certification or other industry certifications
