Industrial Power Solutions (IPS) a Sundt Company is seeking skilled Electrician 2 professionals to join our growing team. This role is ideal for electricians with solid industrial or data center electrical construction experience who are ready to take the next step in their careers.
As an Electrician 2 you will perform electrical installations on large-scale industrial and mission-critical projects while working alongside experienced Foremen Superintendents and Journeymen. Youll play a key role in delivering safe high-quality work while continuing to develop your technical expertise in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the project team.
- Perform high-quality electrical work safely and efficiently.
- Install conduit cable tray grounding systems supports and electrical equipment.
- Pull wire make terminations and assist with equipment installation and startup activities.
- Read and interpret blueprints electrical drawings and project specifications.
- Install electrical systems in accordance with NEC requirements project specifications and company quality standards.
- Operate and maintain hand tools power tools and jobsite equipment safely.
- Identify and communicate potential safety hazards and quality concerns.
- Support project productivity by eliminating waste such as waiting rework unnecessary movement and material handling.
- Mentor less experienced apprentices when appropriate while continuing to expand trade knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of industrial commercial or data center electrical construction experience.
- Approximately 4000-6000 documented electrical field hours preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to install conduit cable tray wire and electrical equipment with minimal supervision.
- Experience bending conduit using hand and mechanical benders.
- Experience with underground electrical installations preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong work ethic attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid drivers license required.
Physical Requirements
- Work up to 12-hour shifts performing physically demanding work in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders scaffolding steel structures and aerial lifts.
- Frequently lift carry push and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently use hands to grasp lift carry and operate tools and equipment.
- Reach above shoulder height and below the waist on a regular basis.
- Occasionally stoop kneel bend and work in confined or uneven spaces.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat safety glasses gloves hearing protection steel-toed boots and high-visibility vest.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

This position performs duties that directly impact the safety of employees equipment and the public. Responsibilities include operating tools and equipment working around energized electrical systems operating vehicles or machinery and handling potentially hazardous materials. Strict adherence to all safety regulations and company policies is required.
