What youll do:

• Youll be based out of our Bakersfield CA service center and can expect to work in the field with up to 75% travel.

• Specialize in working on both low medium and high voltage switchgear including breakers with relays motor starters VFDs load break switches transformers load banks and batteries.

• Install fixtures wiring conduits motors and other electrical circuits for specified shielding and grounding.

• Connect wires to circuit breakers transformers or other components.

You are:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or training

• Proven knowledge of the principles of electricity and electrical design

• 8 years of formal technical training

• 10 years experience in the installation repair and maintenance of electrical switchgear this will include both low volt and medium voltage power distribution gear. Should have knowledge with protection relays and meters

• Positive self- starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality

• Valid drivers license

• Ability to move or lift objects typically less than 75 lbs.

• Availability to work the assignedschedule travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts

• Must be able to standwalkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small itemsfunctional hand-eye coordination andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.) push/pull (80 lbs.) carry (60 lbs.) climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.) stoop kneel and squat
