We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Facility/Building Electrical Systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of IEEE standards and proven experience optimizing electrical systems for energy efficiency and reliability. This role will be responsible for creating implementing and maintaining electrical standards across our facilities ensuring systems are safe reliable and aligned with energy efficiency objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Electrical System Expertise: Provide expert guidance on building electrical systems including power distribution lighting and other electrical utilities.
• Coordinate with the sites IFM provider and outsourced engineering resources to ensure contractor electrical work meets site quality safety and compliance requirements including job site safety check-ins and current contractor qualifications and documentation.
• Standards Development: Create implement and maintain building electrical standards in compliance with IEEE guidelines and company policies ensuring consistency and quality across all systems.
• Energy Efficiency Optimization: Analyze and recommend improvements to optimize electrical systems for maximum energy efficiency while maintaining system reliability and performance.
• Support the sites reliability program by identifying electrical failure modes recommending preventive maintenance improvements and providing electrical system data and findings to the Reliability Engineer for tracking and analysis.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety standards local codes and regulatory requirements maintaining up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety practices.
• Project Management: Lead electrical system upgrade and improvement projects from design through execution ensuring alignment with both IEEE standards and organizational goals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with facilities management engineering teams contractors and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems and successful project delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical system configurations standards and procedures. Provide electrical system performance and energy efficiency data to support the sites reliability reporting.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Facilities Management or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience working with building electrical systems.
• OR an Advanced Degree with 3 years of related experience
• Strong knowledge of IEEE standards and electrical codes.
• Proven experience in optimizing electrical systems for energy efficiency and reliability.
• Experience in developing and maintaining electrical system standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications We Value:

• Experience in large commercial or industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and electrical monitoring systems.
• Background in sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.
• Professional certifications (e.g. Professional Engineer Certified Energy Manager) are a plus.

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
