IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Seattle WA or the Portland/Vancouver area. Over 10-12 weeksyoullassistin the analysis design andimplementationoversight of electrical systems in buildings as part of a team of experienced engineers and consultants. This is a paid internship with real project work and hands-on exposure to building systems design.
In this roleyoullsupport project documentation coordination and design progress while working within project budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.Youllcontribute to work across hospitality mixed-use and government markets supporting high-performance energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

What Youll Do
Assistwith design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards
Assistwith researching commercially available equipment resources
Assistwith client relations project design notebooks and documentation for permanent record files
Assistwith coordinating design and schedules with other disciplines including architectural structural electrical mechanical technology clerical and equipment suppliers
Assistwith documenting design decisions meetings and client instructions whilemonitoringproject design progress
Assistwith reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check
Assistwith preparing and issuing addendum information
Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement
What Youll Bring
Education
Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong interest in design consulting
Previousexposure to CAD and/or BIM software
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Preferred
Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred

Broad integrated MEPworkwith strong emphasis on multifamily housing mixed-use hospitality transit and civic/public projects with recurring mechanical electrical plumbing fire protection and technology scope.
Additionalsupport areas include energy modeling commissioning telecom security and architectural lighting on larger coordinated efforts.
The team showsparticular strengthin urban residential developments mixed-use projects transportation and access improvements parks school district work and hospitality renovations.
Recent work includes Overlake East Phase I Housing / Multi-family and Sound Transit Auburn Station Parking & Access Improvement Transportation.

State of Washington Pay Range: $22-24 per hour
The range listed aboverepresentsthe base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work locationidentifiedabove at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location.
Individual compensation will bedeterminedbased on job-related factors including the candidates experience education knowledge skills abilities and licensure and certifications.
