Job Summary
The Electrical Engineering Associate supports the design development testing and implementation of electrical systems across a variety of engineering projects. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers. Responsibilities include preparing engineering designs assisting with project execution conducting testing and ensuring compliance with safety quality and industry standards.
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems components and engineering solutions
- Prepare and review electrical drawings schematics specifications and technical documentation
- Support the design of power distribution control systems lighting and low-voltage electrical systems
- Perform electrical calculations equipment selection and basic system analysis
- Assist with testing commissioning troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Support project teams during installation inspections and site visits
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation reports and project records
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes safety regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical civil and project engineers
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- 02 years of experience in electrical engineering design testing maintenance or project support (internship experience is a plus)
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and industry standards
- Familiarity with electrical drawings schematics and technical documentation
- Knowledge of AutoCAD ETAP MATLAB or other engineering software is an advantage
- Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to workplace safety quality and continuous learning
- Basic knowledge of power systems electrical protection and control systems
- Familiarity with PLCs SCADA or industrial automation concepts is a plus
- Understanding of electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
- Combination of office-based engineering work and occasional field/site visits
- Exposure to industrial manufacturing commercial or construction environments
- May involve standing walking climbing stairs and conducting equipment inspections
- Occasional travel may be required based on project needs
- Adherence to company safety policies and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during field activities
