The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Electrical Engineer (Part-Time)-Journeyman. The hourly range of this position is $48.08 - $67.31/hour and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as an Electrical Engineer (Part-Time)-Journeyman may include:

• Applies engineering principles to investigate analyze plan design develop implement test or evaluate military weapons systems
• Reviews/prepares engineering and technical analyses reports change proposals and other technical documentation
• Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions (system integration configuration management quality assurance testing acquisition/resource management etc.)
• Analyzes designs develops implements tests and evaluates software components and systems supporting military weapons and related systems

Must-haves:

• Bachelors Degree OR Associates Degree with 4 years of additional work experience (7 years total) OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 6 years of additional work experience (9 years total)
• 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with XMA-ADT
• Experience with CyberSafe
• Experience with Program Protection Plans
• Experience with Risk Management Framework Authority to Operate (ATO) work products
• Experience with Anti-Tamper (AT) process and products
• Knowledge of NAVAIR acquisition timeline and practices in the area of Systems Engineering (SE)
• Knowledge of NAVAIR Aircraft Network Architecture Development
• Knowledge of Anti-Tamper (AT) and Critical Program Information Identification
• Knowledge of Navy Program Protection Planning Criticality Analysis and Cyber Security Strategy development processes and guidance
• Minimum clearance required to apply (candidates who do not currently hold the required clearance will not be considered): DoD Top Secret Clearance
• Additional Accesses: The ability to obtain and maintain the DoD security clearance eligibility and/or additional security access requirements necessary to perform the duties of the position as required by the contract

Desired Skills:

• Experience with MBSE
• Experience with SysML
• Experience with DOORS

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in an office sitting in a cubicle or at a desk looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting walking standing etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site.
