This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS) a business group within HIIs Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Syracuse NY.
In this role you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to design innovative technical solutions and execute project scope under the guidance of a team leader. You will be responsible for translating functional requirements into robust designs and validating that those designs meet all performance and project constraints.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of digital processing algorithms and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills creativity and technical discipline. Success in this position requires the ability to work independently follow leadership direction and deliver high-quality results within defined timelines.
This position is contingent on contract award
- Research develop design and test electrical components equipment software systems and networks.
- Design electrical equipment facilities components products and systems for commercial industrial and domestic purposes.
- Apply sound technical principles theories and concepts to assigned work.
- Create solutions to challenging technical problems in a team environment using engineering processes and toolsets.
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with leadership and peers.
- A team player with the ability to participate in cross-functional teams communicate with team members and coordinate work with others to reach a common goal.
- Willingness to travel for external testing events and customer demonstrations.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
- Attitude of positivity and constant self-improvement that inspires and motivates others.
- Experience in RADAR Electronic Warfare and/or Wireless Communications.
- Experience in one or more of the following involving performant processing: FPGAs GPUs CPUs digital filters high-speed ADCs/DACs complex mixed signal PCB design.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with C/C/OpenCL and scripting languages such as Tcl Python.
- Knowledge of programmable logic and embedded processor techniques solutions and toolsets.
