Electrical Design Intern

Job Summary:
Responsible for the creation of electrical drawings specifications and calculations throughout all phases of project design under close supervision. Assists with basic electrical drafting and modeling tasks while learning industry standards codes and design practices. Collaborates with engineers modelers and detailers to produce coordinated design documentation and support project delivery. Gains exposure to construction administration activities and real-world project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Assists in the production of electrical drawings specifications and calculations with clearly defined tasks under supervision.
Supports development of basic electrical layouts and documentation using fundamental electrical concepts and guidance from team members.
Assists with simple electrical calculations drafting and model updates as directed.
Supports construction administration activities including shop drawing reviews and RFI support as assigned.
Uses basic CAD and modeling tools to create 2D drawings and assist with 3D electrical models.
Collaborates with engineers modelers and detailers to support coordinated project delivery.
Participates in learning opportunities to develop understanding of electrical design standards codes and workflows.

Education Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in electrical engineering architectural engineering or a related field required.

Certifications and Licenses:
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification intent preferred.
