The EHS Technician supports the development implementation and monitoring of environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role plays a key part in promoting a safe workplace by conducting inspections assisting in training and maintaining safety documentation.

Job Summary:
The EHS Technician supports the development implementation and monitoring of environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role plays a key part in promoting a safe workplace by conducting inspections assisting in training and maintaining safety documentation.
- Actively contribute to the implementation of EHS policies and training programs.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA EPA and company safety standards by conducting audits and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records including incident reports and inspection logs.
- Support accident investigations by gathering information and assisting with reports.
- Assist in planning coordinating and conducting emergency response drills and workplace safety training sessions.
- Assist with hazardous waste management environmental compliance inspections and proper disposal procedures.
- Provide guidance on proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use workplace safety procedures and maintain and distribute PPE as needed.
- Assist with vendor coordination for items such as prescription safety glasses audiograms and safety shoes.
- Use software tools to update safety documents and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support EHS initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Associates degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Science or a related field preferred.
- High school diploma or GED with relevant experience in EHS roles will be considered.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. OSHA 30-Hour HAZWOPER First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in an EHS role preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA EPA and other applicable safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel between sites.
