EHS Specialist
Job Summary
Were seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and strengthen our safety culture in a dynamic manufacturing this role youll collaborate with operations leadership and HR to ensure compliance drive safety initiatives and help create a workplace where employees can perform at their best every day.
- Support the implementation and administration of site EHS programs and initiatives
- Conduct safety inspections audits risk assessments and incident investigations
- Deliver safety orientation and training programs for new and existing employees
- Maintain compliance with OSHA EPA and other regulatory requirements
- Assist with EHS documentation reporting and recordkeeping
- Monitor safety metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste management activities
- Partner with HR on workers compensation cases and return-to-work programs
- Proactively identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Help foster a culture of safety accountability and employee engagement
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Safety Industrial Hygiene Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience supporting EHS programs in a manufacturing industrial or production environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA EPA and related regulatory standards
- Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting and wearing required PPE
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in manufacturing industrial or high-volume production environments
- Professional certifications such as ASP CSP CIH or CHMM
- Experience developing and delivering employee safety training
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles
