Position Overview
This position is responsible for supporting projects processes and initiatives within the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) function. The intern will gain exposure to environmental health safety and regulatory activities while assisting with day-to-day responsibilities and special projects that support organizational objectives.
This internship is based out of Maumee OH. Housing may be provided for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a foundational understanding of EHS operations programs and business practices.
- Support environmental health safety and compliance-related projects and initiatives.
- Assist with collecting organizing and analyzing data to support EHS programs and objectives.
- Create and maintain reports presentations spreadsheets and other documentation related to departmental initiatives.
- Conduct research and summarize findings related to environmental safety regulatory or operational topics.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to support ongoing projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with process documentation audits inspections training activities and program administration as assigned.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives that support departmental goals and priorities.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in EHS-related field including Occupational Safety Environmental Engineering Industrial Hygiene etc.
- Sophomore standing required; junior standing strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel regionally for business purposes
- 0-2 years relevant experience required
