Together we are Building A Better the Role:The EHS Intern will support Voltavas Environmental Health and Safety team in helping maintain a safe compliant and environmentally responsible manufacturing environment. This hands-on internship provides exposure to day-to-day safety practices environmental compliance training coordination incident investigation and continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will work closely with team members across the facility to strengthen EHS programs promote employee engagement and gain practical experience in safety systems and regulatory You Will Do:Support daily environmental health and safety activities through clear communication teamwork and with the development coordination and delivery of EHS training programs for team members and new in workplace safety observations audits and facility walkthroughs; document findings and help track corrective with incident reporting injury and illness investigations data collection and preparation of EHS safety countermeasures emergency preparedness activities evacuation drills and continuous improvement maintain compliance with applicable federal state and local environmental and safety in Safety Team meetings and assist with tracking action items recommendations and follow-up with chemical awareness chemical inventory monitoring hazardous waste handling recycling programs and pollution prevention environmental reporting and documentation related to land air water hazardous waste and ISO 14001 accurate EHS records files training documentation and related program You Need To Be Successful:Basic understanding of environmental health and safety principles standards and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members at all detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities while following through on mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing -motivated curious and comfortable taking initiative with appropriate with Microsoft Office applications including the ability to organize information analyze data and support reporting to safety continuous improvement and supporting a positive team member Points If You Have:Previous internships coursework or exposure to manufacturing or safety-related environments is a manufacturing interest or experience preferred but not :Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Safety Environmental Science Industrial Engineering or a related field :MinimalWhat We Offer:We believe our team members are our greatest investment which is why we offer a competitive total rewards package designed to support you at every stage of your career and life.
