Job Title: EHS/FSO Manager
Location: Cleveland OH

Purpose of Position:
The ESH/FSO Manager is responsible for leading Environmental Safety Health and Physical Security programs across the Cleveland campus. This role ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA EPA state local corporate and customer security requirements while fostering a proactive culture focused on employee safety environmental stewardship regulatory compliance and physical security.
The ESH/FSO Manager provides strategic leadership for site-wide EHS initiatives and serves as the designated Facility Security Officer (FSO) overseeing access control surveillance systems emergency preparedness incident response audit readiness and security compliance requirements. The position acts as the primary subject matter expert and owner for site safety and security programs while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and/or Functions:
- Environmental Health & Safety Leadership
- Lead and manage all Environmental Health & Safety programs across the facility.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA state local and corporate requirements.
- Develop implement and maintain EHS policies procedures and training programs.
- Oversee PPE standards hazardous material management and environmental compliance programs.
- Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Monitor and report EHS performance metrics including:
- TRIR
- DART
- Near Miss Reporting
- Training Completion
- Audit Findings
- Conduct safety audits inspections risk assessments and compliance reviews.
- Partner with Operations Engineering Facilities and Human Resources to proactively identify and mitigate risk.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that support a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance considerations are integrated into new equipment processes and facility projects
Facility Security Officer (FSO) Responsibilities
- Serve as the sites designated Facility Security Officer.
- Oversee physical security operations including:
- Access control systems
- Badge administration
- CCTV and surveillance systems
- Alarm systems
- Visitor management
- Security incident response
- Maintain compliance with customer and government security requirements including DoD and CMMC standards as applicable.
- Develop and administer site security procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct security audits vulnerability assessments and risk evaluations.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement emergency responders and external security partners.
- Lead employee security awareness programs and training initiatives.
- Manage investigations involving security incidents policy violations or workplace threats.
- Ensure readiness for customer regulatory and government security audits
Emergency Preparedness & Risk Management
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management activities.
- Coordinate facility-wide drills and emergency exercises.
- Develop business continuity and incident response procedures.
- Conduct integrated safety and security risk assessments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during significant safety or security events.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and emergency service provider
Leadership & Culture Development
- Provide leadership coaching and development to the EHS Supervisor and supporting personnel.
- Promote a Safety First and Security Mindset culture throughout the organization.
- Lead safety committees and cross-functional improvement teams.
- Drive employee engagement through safety observations awareness campaigns and training initiatives.
- Support succession planning and development of future EHS leadership talent.
- Communicate performance metrics and improvement initiatives to leadership and employees.
Qualifications
Education
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Safety Security Management
- Industrial Engineering Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 7-10 years of EHS Security Management Facilities or Manufacturing Leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience with OSHA and EPA compliance programs.
- Experience managing:
- Access control systems
- CCTV platforms
- Alarm systems
- Incident investigations
- Security compliance programs
- Experience leading teams and developing employees.
- Manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of OSHA EPA and environmental regulations.
- Understanding of physical security principles and risk management.
- Experience conducting investigations and root cause analysis.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.

Working Conditions
