Job Summary
Summary:
To implementation and management of the Companys safety and workers compensation programs to ensure compliance with OSHA Cal/OSHA and all applicable local state and federal regulatory requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes work environments and designs programs to control eliminate and prevent disease and injury by conducting safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Develops safety policies training programs and materials tracks training requirements and certifications.
- Prepares and maintains all safety records including training accident and near-miss investigations OSHA logs permits checklists safety audits and walk-through reports and other documentation and acts as liaison with government agencies.
- Responsible for coordinating the medical management of Workers Compensation cases acquiring return-to-work documentation and coordinating modified duty strategies.
- Manages distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conducts periodic fire and emergency evacuation drills.
- Chairs the Safety Committee and conducts monthly meetings.
- Conducts new-hire employee safety orientation.
- Additional tasks duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Additional Duties as assigned.
