Job Summary
EHS Engineer
RIE Coatings is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead environmental compliance and workplace safety initiatives across our manufacturing facilities in 3 states. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance reducing risk and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
This is an on-site position and can be located at any one of our three locations: Albuquerque NM Dubuque IA or Eden Valley MN. Travel between locations is required.
What Youll Do
- Lead environmental health and safety programs across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and other federal state and local regulations.
- Manage environmental permits reporting and regulatory inspections.
- Oversee hazardous waste wastewater air emissions and chemical management programs.
- Conduct safety audits risk assessments incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Develop and deliver EHS training for employees.
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve safety environmental performance and compliance.
- Track EHS metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering Environmental Science Safety Engineering Chemical Engineering Occupational Health & Safety Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations including RCRA CAA CWA EPCRA and SPCC.
- Experience with environmental permitting regulatory reporting hazardous waste management and incident investigations.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and environmental compliance is preferred.
- Experience in metal finishing plating coating anodizing or other chemical manufacturing processes is a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain) required. HAZWOPER 40 CHMM REM CSP or ISO 14001 experience is a plus.
- Ability to travel to other locations as needed approximately 25-35%.
