About the Role

Were looking for an EHS / Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety operations within an active manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on floor-focused safety role for someone who wants to be visible work directly with employees and supervisors and have a direct impact on workplace safety.

Youll help identify and correct hazards support OSHA compliance conduct training investigate incidents and keep safety programs moving forward. This is a great opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys being involved in the operation rather than spending most of the day behind a desk.

What Youll Do
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and workplace audits identifying hazards and following corrective actions through to completion.

  • Support OSHA compliance company safety policies required documentation and regulatory reporting.

  • Lead new-hire safety orientations toolbox talks and ongoing safety training for employees and supervisors.

  • Monitor PPE use and safe work practices while working directly with employees on the manufacturing floor.

  • Investigate injuries incidents near misses and other safety concerns; participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.

  • Maintain safety records OSHA logs reports training documentation and other required EHS information.

  • Partner with Production Operations Maintenance and HR to address safety concerns and strengthen safety processes.

  • Assist with emergency preparedness response procedures and ongoing improvements to safety programs.

What Were Looking For
  • Previous experience in EHS industrial safety safety coordination or a similar role.

  • Experience in manufacturing industrial construction or another hands-on operating environment.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements.

  • Ability to recognize workplace hazards and recommend practical effective corrective actions.

  • Experience conducting employee safety training and orientations.

  • Familiarity with incident investigations and root-cause analysis.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with both hourly employees and supervisors.

  • Organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple safety initiatives at the same time.

Helpful Background

The following would be a plus but arent necessarily required:

  • Manufacturing-focused EHS or safety experience.

  • OSHA 30 or other relevant safety training/certifications.

  • Knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements.

  • Experience with workers compensation or incident management.

  • Familiarity with transportation or FMCSA-related safety requirements.

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety EHS Industrial Safety or a related field.

This role is well suited for a hands-on Safety Specialist Safety Coordinator EHS Coordinator or similar safety professional who likes being out in the operation and interacting with employees.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing-floor-focused position in an active industrial environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable spending significant time throughout the facility working with production employees supervisors and other operational teams.
