Description of Work

This is a full-time faculty position with the primary responsibility of planning and conducting professional development on mathematics topics for PreK-12 teachers with an emphasis in grades K-8.

Job Responsibilities:

- Plan and teach programming that contains a working knowledge of adult learning theory relevancy high-quality content concrete (hands-on) learning.

-Complete required administrative tasks associated with Center programs to ensure that teachers schools and districts have the highest quality programming experience.

-Actively participate in NCCAT related programming meetings informal and formal conversations projects programming calendar development and other communicative duties as assigned.

-Work with the development officer and other staff to write and submit grants administer grants and submit all required documentation as required by the grantor. All grants are required to be pre-approved and/or assigned by the Executive Director.

-Initiate and host communication with teachers following the latest technology social media trends.

-Obtain or be willing to obtain upon employment certification in First Aid CPR and AED certification.

The Centers main focus is providing professional development for residential off-site and online programs in the areas of the most current needs of educators and state initiatives.

Masters degree in the education field to which assigned from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of specifically related experience in public education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
