A Cleveland Ohio area manufacture is hiring a Senior Level CNC EDM Mold Machinist (Wire and Sinker). This is a permanent full-time position in a high-precision tight-tolerance tool and die/mold building environment. The EDM Machinist will be responsible for the end-to-end programming operation scheduling and maintenance of both Wire and Sinker EDM equipment.

A Cleveland Ohio area manufacture is hiring a Senior Level CNC EDM Mold Machinist (Wire and Sinker). This is a permanent full-time position in a high-precision tight-tolerance tool and die/mold building environment. The EDM Machinist will be responsible for the end-to-end programming operation scheduling and maintenance of both Wire and Sinker EDM equipment.
Responsibilities
- Program set up and operate CNC Wire and Sinker EDM machines to produce highly intricate shapes with extreme precision.
- Manage and schedule workflow through the EDM department to meet tight production deadlines.
- Machine components within tight tolerances typical of high-quality mold building.
- Perform preventative maintenance on EDM equipment including wire spooling electrode management and maintaining fluid/deionized water filtration systems.
- Assist with manual grinding and mold assembly tasks as needed to support the toolroom team.
Requirements
- Proven experience programming and operating CNC Wire EDM and/or CNC Sinker EDM machines.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers).
- Experience working in a tight-tolerance mold building or tool & die shop setting.
- Hands-on experience with surface grinding and manual mold assembly is highly preferred.
- High School diploma GED and Technical degree or Journeyman card in machining.
