EDI Java-SQL Developer with AI-Azure exp | W2 Only | Remote | USCGC |

EDI Developer with strong Java and SQL experience to develop and enhance healthcare EDI features from the product backlog. The developer will work with Product Business and QE teams to understand requirements and deliver features through development testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance healthcare EDI features based on backlog requirements.
Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand user stories and requirements.
Develop solutions using Java SQL APIs and integration technologies.
Work with healthcare EDI transactions and integrations.
Troubleshoot and fix application issues and defects.
Work with QE teams on testing and resolving defects.
Participate in backlog refinement sprint planning and demos.
Deploy and support features through production.
Use Azure and Azure DevOps for development and deployment.
Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development productivity.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on Java experience and SQL skills.
Hands-on experience with EDI development and integrations.
Experience with healthcare EDI / HIPAA transactions.
Experience with REST APIs / web services.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot Claude or Azure.
Preferred
Experience with/271 and 276/277 transactions.
Experience with CI/CD Git/GitHub and automated testing.
Experience modernizing or enhancing existing EDI applications.
Experience
10 years of relevant software development experience with strong hands-on experience in Java SQL EDI and healthcare integrations.
