Job Summary

Our client is seeking an E&C Engineer II to support capital projects across a fleet of power generation facilities. While the title is Engineer this position functions primarily as a Project Manager leading multiple engineering and reliability-focused projects from initiation through completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys managing projects collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to the reliability and modernization of critical energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple capital and reliability projects simultaneously from concept through execution and closeout.
  • Partner with operations maintenance reliability engineering contractors and vendors to develop and execute project plans.
  • Develop project scopes cost estimates technical specifications schedules and project justifications.
  • Coordinate procurement activities equipment quotations contractor bidding material deliveries and installation schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets expenditures schedules and overall project performance.
  • Support emergent capital project requests through established company processes.
  • Provide field oversight during project execution and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Review plant documentation drawings and equipment information using internal systems and databases.
  • Collaborate with external engineering consultants when specialized engineering support is required.
  • Participate in daily planning and operations meetings to support plant reliability initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Civil or related engineering discipline).
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering and/or project management experience.
  • Experience managing projects from planning through execution and completion.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing industrial utility power generation refinery chemical plant or similar facility environment.
  • Strong project planning budgeting and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Outlook Teams and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing contractors and external vendors.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or progress toward obtaining it.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience supporting capital improvement reliability or infrastructure projects.
