Job Summary

The Coordinator is responsible for ongoing EHS enrollment of families and the provision of Health Nutrition and Family & Community Partnership services for the EHS program. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring health procedures are performed only by licensed/certified health professionals with expertise in serving young children and their families. The Coordinator is also responsible for developing a parent and community volunteer program and being the lead on child abuse and neglect issues and for developing relationships with community partners. This position provides content area training and technical supervision to other staff and ensures services are supported by staff/consultants with training and experience in health nutrition and social human or family services.


Minimum Education/Experience Requirement:

  • Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and 2 years of experience with infants and toddlers OR
  • Bachelor degree in related field with a current Infant/toddler CDA Home Based CDA credential or emphasis on infant/toddler development and 2 years experience with infants and toddlers

Required:

  • Degree in a health nursing or nutrition field or other closely related field OR experience working in public health nutrition or health administration/education arena.
  • Excellent oral/written communication
  • Knowledge in infant/toddler development/education/health/nutrition/safety/early intervention as well as family dynamics adult learning principles and laws and regulations.
  • A valid drivers license which legally permits operating a motor vehicle in Pennsylvania and reliable transportation and if/when using own vehicle must provide proof of automobile insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge of community resource and referral experience assisting families in need of services preferred.

Other:

  • Home visiting experience a plus.
  • Early Childhood Teaching Certificate preferred
  • Within 90 days of hire must obtain and continually maintain basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking a plus.

Full-Time: 8:00am-4:30pm Mon to Fri
