DSHS FTAA Epic Sr. Application Analyst

We are seeking experienced Epic Sr. Application Analyst to join our team at the Finance Technology Analytics and Accounting Administration (FTAA) and Division of Enterprise Technology (DIT). In this role you will be responsible for Epic application configuration design workflow standards and system governance across one or more functional domains of Epic Electronic Health Records (EHR) implementation. You will also configure and maintain Epic integrations translating clinical and operational workflows into precise system design decisions and ensuring that the build accurately reflects the needs of the programs it serves. You will test activities within the assigned functional domain review and approve the work of less Senior Specialists and facilitate working sessions with clinical and program staff to gather and validate requirements and serves as the primary point of escalation for complex integration issues that require deeper technical judgment.

Some of what you will do:

• Be a primary support contact for each assigned application coordinating issues guiding workflow design building and testing and serving as the liaison between end users and Epic implementation staff.
• Perform responsibilities across interfaces and legacy data conversions specialize by content area and tool and require strong coordination with non-Epic roles while maintaining the same Epic roles
• Represent DSHS as required in inter-agency application governance forums and Epic Technical Services
• Build and configure system master files templates record structures orderables preference lists user roles security classes and smart tools
• Coordinate with Epic Technical Services and external partners to support perform responsibilities across interfaces and legacy data conversions specialize by content area and tool and require strong coordination with non-Epic roles while maintaining the same total full-time Epic roles setup and activation activities

• Support the integration testing strategy acceptance criteria and go-live readiness standard with other program resources as required
• Investigate and resolve application errors in a timely manner escalating to Epic Technical Services or other partners as needed
• Document root causes and resolutions to build institutional knowledge and prevent recurrence
• Lead and execute cross-application scenarios (e.g. tracking an order to ensure end-to-end operational accuracy)
• Perform routine maintenance activities including certificate renewals

Who should apply

• Current Epic application certification in one or more modules relevant to this job
• Demonstrated experience leading configuration design or build activities across a full Epic implementation lifecycle from build through activation
• Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance work review or mentoring to other analysts in a project or operational setting
• Systematic troubleshooting of application failures message errors and data issues in a production healthcare environment
• Experience developing clear and complete application documentation accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Manage multiple concurrent application implementations and support activities within project timelines and shifting program priorities
• Collaborate effectively with application analysts database administrators network engineers vendor technical teams and program representatives across organizational lines
• Work independently to analyze design develop test and activate solutions with minimal supervision
