Principal Accountabilities
- Primary responsibility is to carry out aspects of yard management which will include: jockeying trailers fueling and cleaning trailers cleaning dock areas and unloading/receiving trailers
- Secondary responsibility is to assist covering for other yard drivers who are out due to illness vacation etc
- Will perform plant rounds and assist with trailer checks
- Must visually check trucks and trailers for safety
- Any other tasks/projects as assigned by management
- Availability for weekends on call in the event of the need to unload trailer(s)
- Cover breaks for security guards as needed
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to learn to drive a tractor-trailer. CDL not required only drive on company premises.
- Ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts overtime weekends and holidays
- Accuracy precision and dependability are a necessity
- Must be able to be trained as a certified jack driver
- Must have good people skills and effective communication skills
- Must be able to read write and speak English
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous production/farm experience
- Previous Cargill experience
- Work history in the past 12 months
- Previous truck driver or yard driver experience
- Computer knowledge and experience
