Driver

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight and military household goods to assigned destinations.
• Follow scheduled routes and communicate promptly with dispatch regarding shipment progress delays delivery updates and operational concerns.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected throughout transportation.
• Assist with or oversee loading and unloading as assigned taking care to prevent damage to freight household goods and property.
• Maintain accurate shipment records delivery paperwork inspection reports and driving logs.
• Follow applicable DOT Hours of Service requirements including required breaks and reset periods.
• Provide professional courteous service to customers military families shipment coordinators and receiving personnel.
• Report accidents incidents cargo damage and delivery discrepancies promptly.

• Valid Class C drivers license required
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to meet company background screening requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with dispatch customers and transportation officials and to understand safety instructions and shipment documentation.
• Experience transporting freight and/or household goods preferred.
• Military household goods transportation experience preferred.
• Strong attention to safety cargo protection documentation and customer service.
• Ability to work independently manage time effectively and adapt to changing routes and delivery schedules.
• Ability to meet applicable driver qualification and medical requirements for assigned duties.

• Work includes extended periods of driving travel and time away from home based on assigned shipments.
• Schedule varies according to shipment needs and applicable Hours of Service requirements.
• Ability to inspect vehicles secure cargo and perform assigned loading and unloading duties.
• Work may involve outdoor conditions and varying weather.
