Class C Customer Delivery Driver
Location: La Selva
Schedule: Full-Time Outdoor Role
Compensation: $25-$30 DOE
The Role
Devil Mountain Wholesale Nursery is seeking a dependable Class C Customer Delivery Driver to complete local deliveries to customer job sites and support daily nursery operations.
This role is responsible for safe vehicle operation timely local deliveries professional customer interaction and maintaining plant quality during transport. Drivers work closely with Dispatch and Yard teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and reliable execution on assigned routes.
What Youll Do
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on company vehicles
- Deliver local customer orders to business residential and construction sites
- Confirm delivery timing and maintain professional communication with customers
- Assist with safe unloading of plant material as needed
- Ensure loads are secure and properly staged
- Support yard cleanliness and organization
- Assist with plant care and material handling when on-site
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance when necessary
- Assist loading teams and other departments as needed
What You Bring
Required
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to qualify under company auto insurance standards
- Strong safety awareness and defensive driving practices
- Customer service mindset and professional communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred
- Basic knowledge of plant identification and plant handling practices to help ensure plant quality during loading transport and delivery.
- Experience delivering to construction or residential job sites
- Mechanical aptitude
Work Environment & Expectations
This is an outdoor role requiring operation of a company delivery truck 5080% of the time. Work conditions include varying weather uneven ground surfaces active equipment and vehicle traffic and exposure to dust plant material and typical nursery conditions. PPE is required as applicable.
Physical requirements include:
- Sitting or standing 5090% of the time
- Frequent bending twisting and turning
- Gross grasping and handling of plant material
- Lifting up to 50 lbs (25% of the time)
- Team lifting up to 100 lbs (15% of the time)
