Drafter

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Drafter in Elkton MD for an approximately 6-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will create and revise 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for product tooling and testing components and assemblies.

• 5 years of experience in CAD drafting and modeling
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling
• Experience with 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Experience with drafting
• Proficiency with Siemens NX CAD
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter
• U.S. citizenship required

• Experience applying GD&T
• Knowledge of ASME standards

• Plan lay out draw and revise detailed part assembly and installation engineering drawings.
• Create 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for product tooling and testing components and assemblies.
• Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others using standard engineering drafting practices.
• Determine scaling and add reference planes centering and dimension lines hidden line interpolations and sectioning.
• Prepare specifications for parts assemblies and installations.
• Prepare complete production detail drawings.
• Contribute design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.

$42.67 per hour
