Dock And Door Technician

DOCK & DOOR TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: Metro Detroit

Were seeking a dependable and experienced Dock & Door Technician to join our this role youll be responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing commercial and industrial dock and door equipment at customer locations. Youll work both independently and collaboratively while delivering safe high-quality service and excellent customer support.

• Install inspect troubleshoot maintain and repair commercial and industrial dock and door equipment.

• Service loading dock equipment including dock levelers dock plates vehicle restraints seals shelters and bumpers.

• Install maintain and repair overhead doors roll-up doors sectional doors and related equipment.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems associated with dock and door equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.

• Replace and repair springs cables rollers tracks hinges motors operators and other components.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement.

• Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

• Maintain company tools equipment and service vehicle.

• Follow all company and customer safety procedures.

• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.

• Perform general maintenance and related duties as required.

• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

• Previous experience servicing commercial or industrial dock and door equipment preferred.

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.

• Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.

• Ability to safely use hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Ability to work independently troubleshoot problems and complete repairs efficiently.

• Ability to lift climb ladders and perform physical work throughout the workday.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
