Position - Union: District Engineering Clerk

Hourly Rate: $41.43- $42.43
Responsibilities
- Under intermittent supervision is accountable for the preparation and maintenance of reports and records relating to Engineering Department activities.
- Has contact with the public other departments utilities contractors and others to exchange information.
- Processes work orders and related records.
- Accumulates data for the preparation and maintenance of regular billings reports and records on such subjects as: facility relocation or damage construction status changes in utility facilities and other local engineering functions.
- Types and routes contracts for approval and verifies related records for accuracy.
- Maintains inventory and related records of department supplies and equipment.
- Operates office equipment such as but not limited to typewriters calculators and remote display and printer terminals.
- Does other related or less-skilled work as required.
Skills and Requirements
- Should have demonstrated the ability to perform the duties of a related Engineering or Construction Department clerical position.
- To become familiar with the technical aspects (terminology workflow etc.) of the department as it applies to reports and records.
- To obtain complete and accurate information to enable preparation and completion of reports and records for varied engineering related activities.
Qualifications
- Should possess automobile operators license.
- Must meet the General Requirements for all employees outlined in the Preamble to the Job Specification Manual.
