Design architect develop and launch next-generation display technologies in Apple Display team develops cutting-edge display solutions and technologies that are central to Apples products. The key goal of the Display team is to enable the worlds best display experience. nnIn this highly visible role you will be leading the effort to develop the next generation Apple display ICs: defining display silicon architecture u0026 requirements working with external vendors as well as internal design teams for all phases of the silicon development validating silicon functionality u0026 performance in the module and system and qualifying the ICs for mass production.
As a Display Silicon Architect owning the chip architecture and specification in a chip design you will have responsibilities spanning all aspects of display silicon design:nArchitecting the display silicon and display sub-systemnEstablishing display driver IC critical blocks design rules and guidelinesnAuthoring display silicon engineering requirement specificationnWorking with the silicon teams to perform and review simulationsnWorking with cross-functional teams to optimize the design for custom Apple productsnDefining the roadmap for the next generation display silicon and display subsystemnManaging silicon and system-level risk and performance tradeoffs
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experiencenExperience in leading chip architecture and/or analog mixed-signal design and integration nDesign experience in Amplifiers DACs Oscillators High-speed Links nExperience in design development and launch of high volume ICs in consumer electronicsnKnowledge of digital analog u0026 IC design fundamentals rigorous process development and analytical methodology which lead to high quality design is requirednAbility to conduct experiments during silicon debug gathering and analyzing datanHighly motivated technical DRI with the desire to solve interesting problems nStrong sense of responsibility and ownership with a proven ability to drive technical solutions nEffective written and verbal communication skills
Experience in developing and manufacturing high volume products and vendor managementnProficiency in MATLAB Python Verilog or similar simulation design and modeling toolsnKnowledge in electronic displays image quality or graphics subsystem is a plus
