Now Hiring: DispatcherLocation: Boise ID YardWe are seeking an organized customer-focused Dispatcher to join our team at our Boise ID Yard this role you will serve as the communication hub between customers drivers yard personnel and operations teams ensuring the safe efficient and timely delivery of building Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the assignment of vehicles drivers and delivery routes to ensure efficient transportation of building materials. This position works closely with customers drivers warehouse personnel and management to facilitate on-time deliveries resolve transportation issues and maintain accurate dispatch Duties and ResponsibilitiesDispatch & Route CoordinationCoordinate and assign vehicles and drivers to delivery routes based on customer needs delivery requirements vehicle availability and route daily delivery schedules and establish routes to maximize service levels and operational orders to warehouse and lift operators for timely order driver activities and maintain communication through two-way radio and other communication departure and return times destinations cargo information and delivery status Service & Problem ResolutionServe as a key point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules order status and transportation and resolve issues involving delayed missing damaged or misrouted proactively with customers and internal teams to ensure service expectations are collaboratively with drivers and operations personnel to address delivery challenges and adjust schedules as & Administrative SupportMaintain accurate dispatch logs transportation records and vehicle utilization vehicle mileage fuel usage repair history and maintenance-related vehicle and driver availability to support efficient fleet driver helpers as necessary to support delivery with reporting recordkeeping and other administrative functions related to dispatch & CompliancePromote compliance with company safety standards transportation policies and operating a culture of safety by communicating expectations and helping coordinate safe transportation in safety meetings operational training and continuous improvement additional duties and special projects as & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED (6) months to one (1) year of dispatching transportation logistics customer service or related experience combinations of education training and experience will be Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed primarily in an office environment within an active yard required to sit for extended periods while utilizing computers telephones radios and dispatch required to stand and walk throughout the facility or be exposed to moving mechanical equipment airborne particles dust and varying outdoor weather levels in the work environment are generally be able to effectively communicate with drivers customers and operations personnel throughout the workday.
