Description for Dispatch Coordinator:
Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound specialty building material shipments and customer deliveries.
Communicate professionally with drivers clients and internal purchasing divisions to optimize operations.
Coordinate daily delivery routes establish driver start times and audit outbound shipping manifests.
Work with outside hauling agencies and third-party logistics vendors to secure competitive freight rates.
Monitor transportation costs maintain delivery zone spreadsheets and manage shipping documentation.
Ensure absolute structural compliance across the fleet with State and Federal DOT regulations.
Participate actively on the company safety committee and support zero-shortcut plant safety rules.
Details for Dispatch Coordinator:
Pay Range:$22.00 $24.00 / hour (DOE).
Schedule: Monday Friday Full-Time Day Shift (hours determined by customer needs).
Location: Pierce County terminal layout.
Requirements for Dispatch Coordinator:
Preferred: 5 years of lumber industry experience and/or 5 years of commercial truck driving/transportation history.
Demonstrated strong knowledge of State and Federal DOT compliance guidelines and fleet regulations.
Highly proficient navigating Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication fluency (written and verbal in English) strong organization and sharp attention to detail.
Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities under pressure and sit/use a computer for extended periods.
Exceptional history of daily attendance prompt punctuality and a professional work ethic.
