Director, Software Engineering

We are looking for ahands-on Director of Software Engineeringto lead the development of a modernIntegration Platformthat ingests transforms and loads data from various third-party connectors into our corePeople Cloud Platform. This role demands strong technical leadership deep software engineering expertise and a passion for modern infrastructure and deployment practices. You will lead and mentor high-performing engineering teams while actively contributing to architectural decisions and code review efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of an extensibleintegration platformto onboard and manage data from various systems.
• Architect and overseedata ingestion pipelinesfrom external APIs file-based sources and event streams into the People Cloud usingDatabricks Spark and custom ETL services.
• Build reusable scalableconnector frameworkswith monitoring retry logic and transformation capabilities.
• Ensure seamless integration with the People Clouds APIs data models and customer-facing features.
• Drive backend development withJava/Spring Bootand real-time and batch data processing strategies.
• Oversee the frontend architecture (Angular) for internal tools and dashboards managing connectors data flows and transformation logic.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product data and cloud infrastructure teams to align technical delivery with business goals.
• Ensure the platform ismulti-cloud compatible leveraging AWS Azure or GCP services where needed.
• Implement and maintainCI/CD pipelines infrastructure as code andblue-green deploymentstrategies for highly reliable releases.

Qualifications:

• 10 years in software engineering with a strong foundation inbackend systems and data engineering.
• 5 years of leadership experience including team building mentoring and delivery management.
• Expertise inJava Spring Boot REST APIs and building cloud-native microservices.
• Strong understanding ofdata integration patterns API consumption and real-time/batch ETL.
• Experience buildingmulti-connector frameworksis a big plus.
• Knowledge ofAngularfor front-end development and dashboarding.
• Proven experience withmulti-cloud deployment Kubernetes Terraform and observability tools.
• Experience withCI/CD pipelinesandblue-green deploymentsin production environments.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Experience:

• Building integrations with systems like Salesforce Workday Marketo Google Ads Segment Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience withDatabricks Spark or equivalent data processing platforms.
• Strong understanding ofdata integration patterns API consumption and real-time/batch ETL.
• Experience with:
  • RAG (RetrievalAugmented Generation) architectures
  • Agentic AI systems (toolusing agents orchestration multistep reasoning workflows).
• Experience with specdriven AIassisted development
