Director Recruitment (SGU-SOM and SVM)

This is a primarily remote role.

What Youll Do
The Director of Recruitment builds and leads a high-performing field-basedrecruitment team supporting SGUs School of Medicine (SOM) and School ofVeterinary Medicine (SVM). This role owns recruitment strategy and executionacross a geographically dispersed U.S. territory structure translatingnational goals into territory-level plans that drive inquiry growthapplication volume admit rates and deposit conversion.

The Director collaborates closely with the Vice President ofStudent Recruitment and the Directors of Admissions for Med/Vet. Thesuccessful candidate will be a strategic thinker strong people leader andresults-driven operator who leverages data and process discipline to achieveoutcomes and advance SGUs mission.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Recruitment & Admissions Leadership

  • Own and execute the U.S. field recruitment strategy across SOM and SVM driving performance at every funnel stage: inquiry application admit deposit.
  • Cultivate territory-level dashboards and reporting that track KPIs and translate insights into action.
  • Identify underperforming territories or channels and reallocate resources coaching or event investment accordingly.
  • Partner with recruitment admissions and marketing leadership to keep field strategy aligned to institutional enrollment goals.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead coach and develop a team of field-based admissions/recruitment professionals across multiple U.S. territories.
  • Set clear individual and team KPIs; hold team accountable through regular one-on-ones ride-alongs/event observation and performance reviews.
  • Ensure consistency of operations professional growth and alignment across all team members.

External Engagement & Brand Building

  • Cultivate and expand relationships with pre-health/pre-vet advisors campus clubs alumni ambassadors and other referral sources in key territories.
  • Represent SGU at recruitment fairs conferences and campus events as a visible credible ambassador of the institution.
  • Continuously refine the prospective-student journey event formats follow-up communications advising touchpoints based on funnel data and field feedback.

Collaboration & Mission Alignment

  • Work across admissions financial aid marketing and academic affairs to keep the prospective-student experience seamless from first touch to enrollment.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance in all recruitment activity consistent with accreditation and institutional standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 6 years of progressive recruitment or admissions experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding strategic recruitment goals in higher education; health sciences or medical school experience preferred.
  • Expertise in leveraging data analytics market research and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) to inform recruitment strategy and conversion campaigns.
  • Strong operational management skills with experience using dashboards KPIs and reporting frameworks.
  • Proven track record of managing high-performing geographically dispersed teams and delivering measurable results.
  • Excellent communication collaboration and relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and external influencers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced matrixed environment while maintaining mission focus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 30%) across the U.S. including evenings and weekends.

Work Environment & Travel

The anticipated salary range is $120000 to $130000 peryear. The final salary offered may vary and will be determined based on factorssuch as job-related knowledge skills experience location and education ofthe successful candidate. This information is provided in accordance applicablelocal law.
