To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Process Engineering Director located in Austin TX.
Reporting to the Sr Director Process Engineering the Process Engineering Director oversees the activities related to the technical support and process development engineering functions of a manufacturing area. Plans and implements the development of new and scale-up process formulas. Establishes operating equipment specifications and acts as a liaison with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible. Directs efforts to achieve cost effectiveness and improved product quality. Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
What a typical day looks like:
- Lead and develop a team of Process Engineering professionals providing technical leadership coaching and performance management.
- Direct and oversee Process Engineering activities supporting PCBA manufacturing operations ensuring process capability efficiency and product quality.
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) process development and continuous improvement initiatives to support operational and business objectives.
- Partner with Operations Business Unit leaders and Global Account Managers to support customer requirements and new business opportunities.
- Plan budget and manage Engineering Facilities Maintenance and NPI resources in line with corporate goals.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and problem-solving expertise for manufacturing processes equipment and customer-related challenges.
- Serve as the engineering representative during customer visits business reviews and strategic initiatives while driving cost quality and delivery improvements..
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- 8 years of management experience (Sr Manager or Director level) within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong expertise in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing processes.
- Extensive knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) paste printing cleaning processes and reflow operations.
- Bachelors degree in engineering.
- Proven experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams mentor talent manage change and drive organizational performance.
- Experience supporting customer engagements technical reviews and business development opportunities within a manufacturing environment.
