Director of Engineering

Hengstler-Dynapar Power & Industrial Technologies (P&IT)

The Director of Global Engineering leads the worldwide engineering organization responsible for new product development and sustaining engineering across the Power & Industrial Technologies portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop a global multi-site engineering team
• Drive new product development (NPD) from concept through launch
• Oversee sustaining engineering including product improvements cost reduction and lifecycle management
• Align engineering priorities with business strategy growth initiatives and customer needs
• Partner cross-functionally with Product Management Operations and Sales
• Improve product quality cost and time-to-market
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Kaizen etc.)

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (MBA preferred)
• 10 years of engineering leadership experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Proven experience leading global engineering teams
• Strong background in both:
  • New product development
  • Sustaining / lifecycle engineering
• Experience with Lean continuous improvement and structured development processes
• Strong business acumen and ability to connect engineering decisions to financial outcomes
