The Opportunity

This isnt a role focused on experimenting with AI or simply introducing new tools. Were looking for a strategic hands-on leader who knows how to build an enterprise AI program establish the right governance and turn emerging technology into meaningful business outcomes.
As our first dedicated AI leader youll have the opportunity to build and lead our AI Center of Excellence shape our enterprise AI strategy develop a high-performing team and introduce solutions that improve productivity streamline operations and support continued growth across our portfolio of mechanical construction and field service businesses.
Youll partner closely with executive leadership IT Operations Finance and our operating companies to identify opportunities manage risk and build scalable AI capabilities that deliver measurable value.

What Youll Do
In this role you will:
- Develop and lead TriplePoints enterprise AI strategy roadmap and governance framework aligned with business priorities and growth objectives.
- Build and implement an AI risk management framework using NIST AI RMF and industry best practices to ensure responsible secure and effective AI adoption.
- Establish standards for AI evaluation model performance accuracy monitoring risk mitigation and ongoing governance.
- Create visibility into AI tools models and capabilities being used across the organization including embedded and emerging AI technologies.
- Partner with Cybersecurity Enterprise Architecture and IT leadership to ensure AI solutions align with enterprise security compliance and technology standards.
- Establish processes for evaluating and prioritizing AI opportunities based on business value risk data readiness and organizational impact.
- Launch and lead TriplePoints AI Center of Excellence establishing the operating model governance priorities and performance expectations.
- Develop a scalable approach for identifying evaluating prioritizing and implementing AI opportunities across our operating companies.
- Partner with business leaders to identify operational challenges where AI can improve efficiency productivity decision-making and customer outcomes.
- Establish a network of AI champions across the organization to encourage collaboration knowledge sharing and adoption.
- Build a multi-year AI roadmap that balances immediate business opportunities with longer-term technology capabilities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership providing clear recommendations on AI investments opportunities performance and risk.
- Lead the development and deployment of AI solutions that solve meaningful business challenges.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities in estimating bid and proposal analysis contract review project documentation field service and operational workflows.
- Establish evaluation frameworks that measure solution accuracy reliability cost and business impact before production deployment.
- Partner with Data Enterprise Architecture Applications and Integration teams to ensure AI solutions are scalable secure and supported by reliable data.
- Establish clear business cases success metrics and performance reporting to demonstrate the value of AI investments.
- Drive AI solutions beyond proof of concept into sustainable production use with measurable operational and financial results.
- Lead the enterprise adoption strategy for AI productivity tools including Microsoft Copilot and Claude Enterprise.
- Develop training resources and practical use cases that help employees understand and effectively use AI in their daily work.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to identify opportunities for AI-enabled workflow improvements and automation.
- Establish adoption metrics that measure actual usage productivity improvements and business outcomes.
- Support the development of AI assistants and agents that improve access to information streamline processes and strengthen employee effectiveness.
- Lead change management initiatives that build trust address concerns and encourage responsible AI adoption across field and office teams.
- Build and lead TriplePoints AI function developing the talent capabilities and operating structure needed to support the enterprise AI roadmap.
- Establish clear priorities accountability and performance expectations as the team grows.
- Manage relationships with technology providers implementation partners and external AI advisors.
- Oversee AI investments licensing and operating costs while ensuring resources are aligned with business priorities.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend solutions based on business value performance scalability and risk.
- Provide executive-level reporting on AI initiatives adoption financial impact and strategic opportunities.
What You Bring
Were looking for someone with:
- 10 years of progressive experience in technology including at least 3 years leading AI data or advanced analytics programs with accountability for business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience building and implementing enterprise AI governance frameworks using NIST AI RMF or comparable methodologies.
- Proven experience developing AI evaluation frameworks including model accuracy reliability risk management performance monitoring and production controls.
- A track record of moving AI solutions beyond pilots into production with measurable adoption and business results.
- Experience evaluating and selecting AI models and platforms based on performance accuracy cost and business requirements.
- Experience designing or implementing AI agents and automated workflows with appropriate human oversight and risk controls.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft AI ecosystem including Copilot Copilot Studio Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with additional leading AI platforms and model providers.
- Strong understanding of AI architecture enterprise data environments integration requirements and information security considerations.
- Experience developing business cases managing budgets and communicating technology investments and risks to executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to build and develop technical teams while managing external vendors and implementation partners.
- Strong communication leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical business recommendations.
- A commitment to staying current with rapidly evolving AI technologies capabilities and industry practices.
What Will Set You Apart
While not required experience with the following would be valuable:
- Experience building or leading an enterprise AI Center of Excellence.
- Experience in mechanical services construction manufacturing distribution field services or other complex operational environments.
- Experience implementing document intelligence solutions involving contracts RFPs specifications project documentation or other unstructured data.
- Experience developing and deploying agentic AI solutions and orchestration frameworks in production environments.
- Experience with AI cost optimization model monitoring and ongoing production performance management.
- Experience supporting decentralized multi-company or private-equity-backed organizations.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and enterprise AI governance tools.
