Direct Support Professional

Location: Mt. Lebanon

Additional Job Details

Pay Rate: $18 - $20/hour (based on experience and credentialing)

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2000

FUNCTION:

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in promoting the health safety and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Youll support daily living activities community engagement and personal development while advocating for individual choice and dignity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands supports and advocates with people we support by helping them live a life of personal significance.
  • Identifies documents and shares concerns and successes as appropriate.
  • Transports and accompanies people to activities appointments and events.
  • Helps with personal care tasks as needed laundry and food preparation.
  • Assists with money management by promoting independence
  • Completes service documentation/notes in Therap on the same day service is provided in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • No previous experience required we provide all the training youll need!
  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • Valid Pennsylvania drivers license and a reliable insured vehicle preferred.
  • Able to pass required background checks (Act 33 and Act 34 clearances).
  • A caring attitude and willingness to help others
