As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) your day starts by picking up the 1 to 3 individuals you support reviewing the days plans and discussing their goals interests and choices. Then youre off! You might visit parks libraries restaurants community centers volunteer sites local events and more.

Full-time Enjoy a consistent group and schedule while building meaningful relationships and seeing progress over time.

Part-time Enjoy variety while supporting different individuals groups activities and locations.

The Difference Youll Make:Whether youre helping someone in employment practice budgeting order their own lunch volunteer try something new or advocate for what they want youre helping them build confidence and independence.

Youre there to supportnot take over. They choose the direction. You help make progress happen.

Youll use your personal vehicle to transport the individuals you support. Mileage for approved work-related travel is reimbursed at the current IRS rate.

Community Integration Training Program (CITP) Program Highlights

• 100% community-based program (small businesses nonprofits schools etc.)

• Individualized plans tailored to each participants goals and abilities
• Emphasis on independence personal choice and community integration
• Participants receive personalized support through a collaborative plan involving their Direct Support Professional including family members staff and community partners.

Job Specific Essential Duties

1. Train support and monitor clients while in the community.
2. Participate in the development of a circle of support to build relationships with family friends neighbors and other community.
3. Develop individualized adaptive support materials as needed.
4. Develop and expand clients participation in integrated employment activities.
5. Assist with development and implementation of clients annual plan goals and objectives
6. Participate in clients annual Individualized Program Plan (IPP) meeting
7. Provide same day shift coverage as requested by supervisor.

Minimum Experience andQualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Experience:1 year working in social services education or with the developmentally disabled population preferred
• Driving:3 years driving experience; own vehicle for transportation; willing to drive up to 3 clients in your personal vehicle at once (mileage reimbursed at current IRS rate)

3. Valley Center participant north/east Escondido & Vista Oceanside YMCA area & Encinitas through Carlsbad and toward Oceanside
