Self-Direction Direct Support Professional (DSP) Baldwinsville NY Area (Job #AT-PB)
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Baldwinsville area with an independent man in his early 40s who has Mild Intellectual Disability. He is looking for a dedicated individual to provide him with transportation be involved in community life and teach skills for independent living both at home and in community settings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to transporting him in the community shopping visiting local parks hiking and spending a lot of time outside. He is very sociable humorous and easy-going. He loves to spend his days outside in nature and with his dog.
We are looking for an individual who has experience in the field is reliable patient trustworthy open-minded to strong opinions and is a great communicator.
Valid NYS drivers license and a reliable vehicle required.
Background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the agency. Indera is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Pay Rate: $27/hr. All new hires must complete a five-hour initial training course online; the training rate is $17/hour.
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The days and times are flexible for the right fit!

Qualifications
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFRS technology policy.
