Self-Direction DSP - Dewitt Area (Job #AT-ES)

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Habilitation services to an individual with autism in the Dewitt/Outer University area.

They are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assistance with working on goals both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include but are not limited tosupport during community outings/events (movies walks bowling classes festivals)assistance with increasing independent living skills (cooking cleaning grocery shopping maintaining their apartment) and transportation as needed. We are looking for individuals who are dependable patient and enthusiastic. Reliable transportation valid NYS drivers license and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR)is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Hours: Part- Time position Monday and Wednesdays 8:30am to 12:30/1:00pm & Tuesdays and Fridays 12:00pm to 5:30/6:30pm

Pay rate: $25.00 per hour.

• Must have a valid drivers license
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFRS technology policy.
