Direct Care Worker

We are currently seeking compassionate dependable and dedicated Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to join our team at our Ypsilanti locations.

• Competitive Starting Pay: $19.13/hour

• Training Completion Increase: Pay increases to $19.33/hour upon completion of required training

We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions on:

• Afternoon Shift: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM

• Midnight Shift: 12:00 AM 8:00 AM

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Applicants MUST have a valid drivers license and be willing to drive as part of the position.

As a Direct Care Worker you will provide hands-on support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a 6-bed group home setting.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing compassionate person-centered care and support

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living

• Providing 100% hands-on care to all residents including:

  • Brief changes

  • Toileting

  • Showering and bathing

  • Dressing

  • Feeding

• Preparing and serving meals and providing dining assistance

• Administering medications as prescribed and according to established procedures

• Completing daily cleaning and maintaining a safe sanitary home environment

• Engaging residents in enjoyable activities that encourage socialization and overall well-being

• Supporting residents with dignity patience and respect

To be considered for a Direct Care Worker position applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Have a High School Diploma or GED

• Have a valid Drivers License

• Be able to successfully complete a criminal background check

• Be dependable responsible and comfortable providing hands-on personal care

• Be willing to work weekends and holidays

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a licensed group home
