As a Part-Time Dining Associate youll have the opportunity to explore various roles such as baker prep cook barista pizza maker cashier dishwasher and assisting with catering or concessions. We strive to match individuals with positions that suit both their strengths and the needs of Dining Services. Youll typically receive focused training in one or two key roles but will also have the opportunity to cross-train in other areas of interest. Our goal is to ensure everyone finds the best fit and enjoys a rewarding experience. This position is a part-time non-benefited role responsible for ensuring a positive and efficient dining experience for our patrons across our various venues.
We offer flexible scheduling; however this position requires a variable work schedule and some weekends may be required. The work schedule may be adjusted to meet institutional and Dining Services needs.
Other duties assigned on an institutional need.Compensation: $13.33 - $17.35/hr. depending upon directly related experience.

- Principal Responsibilities and Results KSAs
Essential Functions: this position isnon-exemptandiseligible for compensatory or overtime pay provisions of the FLSA. This listing of essential duties is not all-inclusive but representative other duties may be assigned).
- Barista Duties: Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages including coffee tea and specialty drinks while ensuring consistency and quality.
- Dishwasher Duties: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by washing dishes utensils and cooking equipment and ensuring that all sanitation standards are met.
- Cashier Duties: Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently process payments and provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Baker Duties: Prepare and bake a variety of pastries bread and other baked goods following recipes and maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
- Concessions Duties: Manage concessions stands by preparing and serving food and beverages handling transactions restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness.
- Catering Duties: Assist with the setup service and cleanup of catering events ensuring that all food and beverages are presented attractively and served promptly.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the essential functions of this position a variable work schedule may be required
- While performing the essential duties of this position an employee would frequently be required to move around the assigned work areas as well as within hallways meeting rooms and other parts of the campus facilities
- There may be multiple/daily instances of prolonged sitting standing and personal computer use which would include keyboard and/or mouse usage as well as viewing a computer monitor
- An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision distance vision and ability to adjust focus
- The overall work environment requires the mental ability to shift focal point quickly due to interruptions; an employee must be able to mentally track multiple projects and tasking as well
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however there may be instances of somewhat loud environments

- Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- No prior experience necessary but 1 year of customer service experience is preferred; on-the-job training provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of Customer Service and/or Hospitality experience
- Successful completion of TIPS Training
