Die Setter Mold Technician 1st Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Removes and installs plastic injection molding molds.
• Set up machines for continuous production by positioning and aligning mold connecting water hydraulics and air feeds as required.
• Adjust machine control settings to prescribed setup for the part.
• Shut down molding machines by performing proper lockout procedures purging material removing die from machine etc.
• Set up and operate machine shop equipment including milling lathes and surface grinders.
• Complete required documentation such as tool change reports and production logs accurately and in a timely manner.
• Work toward continuous improvement of all mold change and machine set up procedures.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs plastic injection molding molds.
• Various other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Be able to work safety with all hand power tools/machine shop equipment.
• Be able to operate cranes.
• Follow all company safety and other policies.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years related trade school training; or equivalent of education and experience in similar environment (Plastic Injection Molding).
• Ability to accurately read blueprints product specifications and charts.
• Possess good trouble-shooting skills.
• Must be able to read write and speak English.
• Ability to operate a Forklift in a safe manner or ability and willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner demonstrate personal responsibility and perform all assigned duties
